The one on the right is of Ascanio Maria Cardinal Sforza also by Sansovino on the commission of Pope Julius II. These works are among the most important of the Roman Renaissance in that the deceased for the first time is depicted in a living pose, instead of lying dead, according to the ancient tradition that dates back to the Etruscans.
